Rent a Pigeon at MCA Denver
Seriously, you can. The pitch is this : “Take and release a pigeon and it will home to us.”
On top of the the Museum of Contemporary Art Denver, there is a painted wood shed that kind of looks like a nice jail for its residents - about a dozen or so flapping pigeons
This afternoon, I tried to hire one for capture and release, but the birds were not flying because of the cold and snowy weather. Had the birds not been grounded, someone from the program would have given me a little lesson on caring for the pigeon, with a little carrying case (I’d imagine something sturdier than a paper bag) and sent me on my way with the rat-like creature to be released about 15 miles away when we got home. The bird would make its journey from its new location back HOME to the museum.
